Family Lawyer Lindsay Hanifan, Presented “Support Case Law Updates” at PA Bar Association Meeting

King of Prussia, Pennsylvania–Vetrano|Vetrano & Feinman LLC family lawyer Ms. Lindsay Hanifan recently participated in a panel at the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Winter Meeting in Philadelphia, PA. The divorce lawyer presented her findings on “Support Case Law Updates”, discussing the latest developments in support law brought to light by 3 recent cases.
Ms. Hanifan was part of a panel of six 6 people, broken down into 3 three groups of 2 two each. Each of the groups paired up a junior lawyer with an experienced lawyer to ensure a comprehensive view of each of the cases discussed at the Family Law meeting.
As part of the proceedings of the Winter Meeting, the pairs were asked to present the facts and findings of each of the cases they studied. The more experienced attorney spoke about the implications of the cases and similar cases that they have seen in the practices, talked about the significance of these cases for future events, and the precedents set by the cases studied.

In attendance to the PA Bar Association Law Section Winter meeting were family lawyers, divorce lawyers, criminal lawyers as well as bankruptcy lawyers. However, there was a larger presence of the members of the Family Law Section. The panel members presented on a variety of topics related to spousal support, custody, and equitable distribution of property as well as child support laws. The meetings can be attended by any attorney or lawyer from the area.
PA Bar events, like this one, are also often attended by forensic accountants, business evaluators as well as other professionals from a number of fields. These professionals often collaborate with attorneys to provide expert insight. Input from financial professionals allows attorneys to firmly understand all aspects of clients’ cases.
